Farley-Harper - Woodwright & Property
in Dinas Mawddwy, Mid-Wales
to my website!
I was born in 1952 in the Black Country, and I
began working with wood at a very early age. I
very quickly learnt that quality workmanship
would advertise your work for you, and these are
the values I hold today. My Uncle Edward was a
master carpenter and he passed his endless
knowledge on to a very willing apprentice. On the
day that I started full-time work, he presented
with my first set of "proper" carpentry
tools, which Im still using today.
I create a
diverse range of commisioned items, such as the
four beehives (pictured above) that I made for
Fortnum & Masons. The beehives will be
exhibited in the Fortnums show garden at
this year's Chelsea Flower Show, and are due to
be featured in the Daily Telegraph on April 7th,
2007. Other recent work has included barn
conversions and horse-drawn wagons, with my next
project being a two-wheeled trotting cart for a
self sufficient community in Pembrokeshire. To
